Inside the News

  • Zepto is reportedly preparing for a ₹10,000 crore IPO.
  • The listing could become one of India’s largest startup public offerings in recent years.
  • Fresh capital is expected to support expansion, technology investments, and dark-store growth.
  • The move comes as competition intensifies between Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart.

In just four years, Zepto has gone from a startup promising groceries in minutes to one of India’s most valuable quick-commerce companies. Now, the company is preparing for its next big milestone.

According to reports, Zepto is gearing up for a ₹10,000 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO), bringing it closer to becoming a publicly traded company. The planned offering is expected to provide fresh capital for expansion as the company continues to strengthen its presence across India’s major cities.

Founded by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra in 2021, Zepto helped popularize the quick-commerce model, where customers receive groceries and daily essentials in a matter of minutes. The company’s rapid growth has made it a key player in one of India’s most competitive consumer-tech sectors.

The IPO plans arrive at a time when the battle for quick-commerce dominance is heating up. Rivals such as Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart continue to invest heavily in expansion, logistics, and customer acquisition as demand for ultra-fast delivery services grows.

If successful, the public offering would mark another major milestone for India’s startup ecosystem and signal growing investor confidence in the future of quick commerce.
