Samsung has teamed up with the government’s Startup India program to discover and support brilliant young minds from smaller cities and towns across the country.
This exciting partnership brings together Samsung’s popular “Solve for Tomorrow” contest with India’s startup support network to help students turn their innovative ideas into real solutions.
Finding Hidden Talent in Small Towns
The collaboration focuses on reaching students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities – places that often don’t get enough attention in the tech world.
This year’s participants came from unexpected places like Samastipur in Bihar, Baramulla in Jammu & Kashmir, and Cachar in Assam, proving that great ideas can come from anywhere in India.
Students aged 14-22 can participate by creating solutions for everyday problems in four key areas: using AI to make communities safer and smarter, improving health and hygiene, bringing positive change through sports and education technology, and protecting the environment through tech innovations.
Big Rewards for Big Ideas
The program offers substantial support to winners. The top 4 teams receive ₹1 crore each to develop their ideas further, while the next 20 teams get ₹20 lakh and the following 40 teams receive ₹8 lakh.
Beyond money, participants get mentorship, workshops, and chances to pitch their ideas to industry experts.
Supporting India's Growth Vision
This partnership aligns perfectly with government initiatives like Digital India and Skill India.
By bringing together Samsung’s hands-on approach with Startup India’s nationwide support system, the collaboration ensures that young innovators from the smallest districts get the same opportunities as those from big cities, truly making innovation accessible to everyone across India.
