The Story

Introduction

Indian fintech platform Moneyview is set to enter the public markets this week, with its initial public offering (IPO) scheduled to open on September 24, 2026.

The company has fixed the IPO price band at ₹32–₹34 per equity share and is looking to raise approximately ₹1,091.61 crore through the issue.

At the upper end of the price band, Moneyview would have an implied market capitalisation of approximately ₹5,984.79 crore, or about ₹5,985 crore.

The IPO will remain open until September 28, while the anchor investor portion is scheduled to open on September 23. Share allotment is expected on September 29, with trading scheduled to begin on October 1 on the NSE and BSE

The IPO comes as Indian new-age technology and fintech companies continue to enter the public markets. Moneyview, formerly known as Whizdm Innovations, operates a digital financial-services platform that connects consumers with banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), insurers and other financial institutions.

.

Background: From Digital Lending to a Broader Fintech Platform

Founded in 2014 by Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, both IIT Delhi graduates, Moneyview initially built its business around digital financial products and lending.

The company launched its personal-loan offering with lending institutions in FY17. It subsequently expanded into on-balance-sheet lending through its material subsidiary, Whizdm Finance, in FY20.

Over time, Moneyview has broadened its platform beyond personal loans. Its current product portfolio includes insurance, credit cards, digital gold, payments and earned wage access, alongside lending products.

As of June 2026, Moneyview reported 14.03 crore registered users and partnerships with 48 financial institutions. The company says its platform provides coverage across 99% of India’s postal codes.

The business model relies on connecting customers looking for financial products with financial institutions that can provide those products. This makes Moneyview a technology intermediary as well as a participant in credit distribution and lending.

Main Development: Moneyview Sets ₹1,092 Crore IPO

Moneyview’s revised IPO consists of a ₹750 crore fresh issue and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 10.04 crore equity shares by promoters and existing investors. At the upper price band of ₹34, the total issue value is approximately ₹1,091.61 crore.

The fresh issue is particularly important because these funds will go to the company rather than selling shareholders.

Moneyview plans to allocate approximately:

  • ₹325 crore toward increasing loan disbursals under Default Loss Guarantee (DLG) arrangements.
  • ₹250 crore toward strengthening the capital base of its subsidiary, Whizdm Finance.
  • The remaining amount toward general corporate purposes.

The OFS component, meanwhile, allows existing shareholders to sell part of their holdings.

The selling shareholders include the company’s founders and investors such as Accel, Tiger Global Management, Ribbit Capital, DI Investment and Crimson Winter. Accel was the largest shareholder, with a 21.89% stake as of September 20, followed by Tiger Global’s Internet Fund III with 13.79%.

Why the IPO Size Was Reduced

Moneyview had originally proposed a larger IPO.

The company had filed draft IPO documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in March 2026, proposing a fresh issue of up to ₹1,500 crore and an OFS of up to 13.6 crore shares.

The company subsequently reduced the fresh issue to ₹750 crore and the OFS to about 10.04 crore shares. Moneycontrol reported that SEBI approved,

the company’s application to reduce the fresh issue size on September 10 under a regulatory framework that allows certain reductions without refiling the DRHP.

The reduction means Moneyview will raise less fresh capital than originally planned while also reducing the number of shares being offered by existing investors.

Financial Performance

Moneyview has reported significant revenue growth while maintaining profitability.

For FY26, the company reported profit after tax of approximately ₹242.7 crore, compared with ₹240.3 crore in the previous financial year. Revenue from operations increased 43.3% to ₹3,351.2 crore, from ₹2,339.1 crore a year earlier.

The company’s June 2026 quarter showed a sharper year-on-year increase. Profit rose approximately 158.8% to ₹173.8 crore, while revenue from operations increased 50.2% to ₹1,041.1 crore from ₹693 crore in the corresponding period.

Loan disbursals also continued to expand. Moneyview’s loan disbursals increased 31% to ₹23,099 crore in FY26, while first-quarter FY27 disbursals reached ₹7,152 crore, up 40% year-on-year. Its assets under management stood at approximately ₹22,520 crore as of June 30, 2026.

These figures show the increasing scale of Moneyview’s lending operations, although future performance will also depend on credit quality, funding costs, regulatory requirements and the company’s ability to manage its lending portfolio.

Technology and AI in Moneyview's Business

Technology is central to Moneyview’s operating model. The company describes its platform as technology- and artificial-intelligence-led, enabling customers to complete much of the financial-product discovery and application process digitally.

AI and automated decision systems can help fintech platforms analyse customer information, personalise product recommendations and streamline application processes.

However, lending technology also requires strong controls around data security, fraud prevention, credit assessment and regulatory compliance.

Moneyview’s expansion into multiple financial products also gives it opportunities to cross-sell services to its existing user base. At the same time, operating across lending, insurance, payments and investment-related products increases the complexity of regulatory and risk management.

Industry Impact

Moneyview’s IPO adds another fintech company to India’s growing public-market pipeline. The development comes as investors and public-market institutions increasingly evaluate new-age companies based on revenue growth, profitability, cash generation and business sustainability.

For the Indian fintech sector, the IPO could provide a public-market reference point for valuing digital lending and financial-services platforms.

Moneyview’s use of IPO proceeds also illustrates how fintech companies can use public capital to expand lending capacity.

Its planned investment in Whizdm Finance’s capital base could support the subsidiary’s balance-sheet lending operations, while the DLG-related allocation is intended to support additional loan disbursals.

However, digital lending businesses face several structural risks, including borrower defaults, credit losses, cybersecurity incidents, regulatory changes and competition from banks and other fintech platforms.

The company’s prospectus also highlights risks associated with its operations, making risk management an important consideration as Moneyview scales its lending activities

What Happens Next

Moneyview’s anchor investor bidding is scheduled for September 23, followed by the public subscription period from September 24 to September 28.

The company is expected to finalise share allotment on September 29, with shares scheduled to be credited to investors on September 30. Trading on the NSE and BSE is scheduled to begin on October 1, 2026.

The IPO will be managed by Axis Capital, BofA Securities India, IIFL Capital Services and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company as book-running lead managers.

Conclusion

Moneyview’s upcoming IPO marks an important step in the evolution of India’s digital-finance sector. The company is entering the public market with a ₹1,091.61 crore issue, a ₹32–₹34 price band and an implied valuation of nearly ₹5,985 crore at the upper end.

Its financial performance shows strong revenue growth and continued profitability, while its large registered-user base and expanding financial-product portfolio provide the foundation for further scale.

The key areas to watch will be Moneyview’s ability to grow loan disbursals, manage credit risk, strengthen its NBFC subsidiary and expand beyond digital lending while maintaining profitability and regulatory compliance.
