Fibe Files DRHP with SEBI for ₹750 Crore IPO

Digital lending platform Fibe has taken a major step toward becoming a publicly listed company. The fintech startup has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The proposed IPO includes a fresh issue of equity shares worth ₹750 crore. It also includes an Offer for Sale (OFS) of more than 4 crore equity shares by existing shareholders.

The DRHP filing marks an important milestone for Fibe as it prepares to enter India’s public markets.

A Major Milestone for Fibe

Fibe has grown rapidly over the past decade by offering digital lending solutions to millions of customers across India.

The company was founded in 2015 as EarlySalary. Later, it rebranded itself as Fibe and expanded beyond personal loans into education, healthcare, travel, insurance, and other consumer financing products.

The IPO reflects the company’s continued growth and increasing presence in India’s fintech sector.

How Will the IPO Funds Be Used?

According to the DRHP, the ₹750 crore fresh issue will primarily be invested in ESPL, Fibe’s material subsidiary.

The investment will strengthen the subsidiary’s capital base and support future lending activities.

A portion of the proceeds will also be used for general corporate purposes.

However, the money raised through the Offer for Sale (OFS) will go directly to the selling shareholders instead of the company.

Existing Investors to Participate in OFS

Several existing investors are expected to dilute part of their holdings through the Offer for Sale.

These investors include TPG’s The Rise Fund, Norwest Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, Piramal Finance, and Chiratae Ventures.

Their participation highlights the company’s maturity and confidence as it prepares for life as a publicly listed business.

Technology Powers Fibe's Growth

Fibe has built its lending platform around advanced technology.

The company uses artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data science across customer onboarding, underwriting, fraud detection, risk management, and loan collections.

This technology-driven approach enables faster loan approvals while improving operational efficiency and customer experience.

As digital lending continues to evolve, technology remains one of Fibe’s biggest competitive advantages.

Strong Financial Performance Ahead of the IPO

Fibe has reported significant financial growth ahead of its proposed IPO.

As of March 31, 2026, the company reported Assets Under Management (AUM) of ₹8,603 crore.

This represents nearly double the AUM reported two years earlier.

The company also posted a profit after tax of ₹257.46 crore in FY26, reflecting stronger profitability and improved business performance.

These financial results demonstrate the company’s ability to scale while maintaining healthy growth.

India's Fintech Market Continues to Expand

India’s fintech sector has witnessed strong momentum in recent years.

Growing smartphone adoption, digital payments, and wider access to formal credit continue to drive industry growth.

Consumers are increasingly choosing digital lenders like Fibe because they offer fast, paperless, and convenient borrowing experiences.

As a result, fintech companies continue expanding their customer base across the country.

What the IPO Means for Investors

The IPO filing also reflects growing investor confidence in India’s technology and financial services industry.

Following several successful public listings, many high-growth startups now view public markets as an important source of long-term capital.

Fibe’s proposed IPO further strengthens this trend and highlights the increasing maturity of India’s startup ecosystem.

DRHP Filing Is Only the First Step

It is important to understand that filing a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) does not mean the IPO has been approved.

SEBI will review the company’s draft documents before granting approval.

The regulator may seek additional information or request clarifications during the review process.

Only after receiving regulatory approval can Fibe announce the IPO dates, price band, and subscription schedule.

Looking Ahead

If approved, Fibe’s IPO will add another leading fintech company to India’s stock market.

The public listing will also give investors an opportunity to participate in one of the country’s fastest-growing digital lending businesses.

With strong financial performance, advanced technology, and a growing customer base, Fibe appears well positioned for its next phase of growth.

The proposed IPO marks another important development in India’s rapidly expanding fintech ecosystem.
